Diversity and Inclusion
This ministry is committed to the same standard of inclusion demonstrated by Jesus Christ during his time on earth.
That standard includes but is not limited to the following.
Jesus held extended theological conversations with women at a time when women were not considered credible witnesses in a court of law. He healed the servant of a Roman centurion, an occupying soldier, and commended his faith as greater than anything he had found in Israel. He touched lepers when the law required they keep their distance and announce their own uncleanliness to anyone who approached. He ate in the homes of tax collectors, who were considered traitors by their own people and collaborators by Rome. He initiated conversation with a Samaritan woman, crossing two separate social prohibitions at once: Jews did not speak to Samaritans, and men did not address women publicly in that culture. He welcomed children when his own disciples tried to turn them away. He forgave a woman caught in adultery in front of the men who brought her there to be stoned. He healed on the Sabbath when the religious establishment said the timing was wrong. He spoke to demoniacs when everyone else had given up on them and chained them outside the city.
He was criticized for every single one of these interactions by the people who considered themselves the guardians of the correct boundaries.
This ministry operates by the same standard. If you are here and you are reading this, you are included. What you do with what you find here is between you and God.
Jesus has been including people the establishment wanted to exclude for approximately three thousand years.
You are welcome here.
